There is only one first time, but in this film somehow we managed to focus on two. Flora Duffy was the first athlete from Bermuda to win an Olympic gold medal, and we were there to capture the first moment she stepped back onto the island, where they had declared a national holiday in her honour, and hear her story of how she almost didn’t make it to the start line at all.
